P21 is a synthetic peptide derived from the neuroprotective protein activity-dependent neuroprotective protein (ADNP). P21 mimics a portion of the ADNP protein, which plays a key role in brain development, neuronal protection, and regulating synaptic plasticity. Current research in mice suggests that P21 may improve learning and memory, promote neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity.
